Performance, media and the realities of the internet

Marina Dessau has been working with the multimedia performance collective internil since its founding in 2005 and continuously since 2014.

The collective explores the political, social and emotional realities of digital culture through performance, theatre and online research. Marina’s work with internil includes performance, long-term online research, reenactment and dramaturgical collaboration, translating internet-specific phenomena into physical and hybrid theatrical formats.

Workshops & research

Alongside performances, Marina’s work with internil includes workshops, lectures and teaching on reenactment, digitality, virtual reality and performance. Collaborations and invitations include Zurich University of the Arts, HfBK Dresden, Leipzig University and the Academy for Theatre and Digitality Dortmund.
